What to expect in an Assessment

Our individual assessments are thoughtfully designed to meet your unique needs. These in-session evaluations may include cognitive assessments tailored specifically to you. Embracing technology to enhance the assessment process, we may use computers or iPads for certain components. Typically, assessments take place over one or two sessions, followed by a careful review and interpretation by the clinician. Once complete, we’ll schedule a feedback session to share insights, recommendations, and a detailed report—either brief or comprehensive, depending on your preference. If you're considering an assessment, we encourage you to connect with the clinician to ensure it aligns with your specific needs.

GP ADHD Assessments - Preferred Providers

Initial ADHD Comprehensive Screener Report (GP-Led Diagnosis Model)

With recent changes supporting GP-led ADHD diagnosis and prescribing in Queensland, Mindware Psychology offers a structured Initial ADHD Comprehensive Screener Report designed to support the diagnostic decision-making for your GP.

Our aim is simple: we complete the initial review so you and your GP can complete the final review and diagnosis with confidence.

As a preferred GP partner, we offer a discounted comprehensive screener report and a fast turnaround, helping your GP and you manage the challenges of diagnosing a Neurodevelopment condition while maintaining high clinical standards of care.

What We Provide

Our Initial ADHD Comprehensive Screener Report includes:

  • Structured clinical interview with the client
  • Multi-informant rating scales (where applicable) – This will be selected by your assessing Psychologist
  • Functional impairment assessment across settings
  • Screening of relevant contributing factors
  • Clear mapping of findings directly to DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria
  • Concise, GP-friendly summary report suitable for diagnostic support

You receive a structured report outlining assessment outcomes and explicit matching to DSM-5-TR criteria to support your final clinical decision-making.

Important Scope & Limits

This is a diagnostic support screener, not a full comprehensive psychological assessment.

  • It does not eliminate all possible co-occurring conditions
  • It does not provide full differential diagnosis
  • It is designed to support GP-led ADHD diagnosis, not replace comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation

If a full comprehensive psychological assessment is clinically indicated, this can be arranged through Mindware Psychology.
