As an ACA-accredited counsellor, Olivia brings over eight years of experience working with neurodivergent and behaviourally challenged children and teens across academic, mentoring, coaching and counselling settings. She has worked extensively with children and adolescents in foster care, non-profit organisations, in addition to international and remote Australian cultural contexts.
Olivia is passionate about offering affordable, engaging, and accessible care while maintaining a commitment to evidence-based methodologies and clinically endorsed treatments. She takes a client-centred approach, integrating polyvagal theory and neuropsychotherapy practices, along with Play Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, CBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, and Positive Parental Coaching and Support.
Olivia adopts a warm, holistic, and educational approach to counselling, providing strong support to clients and families to foster long-term positive change. She has a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with ASD and behavioural challenges, as well as LGBTQI+ clients, relationship and attachment therapies, female empowerment, and individuals from rural areas facing mental health concerns.
Olivia is currently expanding her expertise by completing a Certification in Level 2 Clinical Relationship Counselling through the Gottman Institute and looks forward to also offering relationship counselling at MindWare in the near future.
